Glór Uachtar Tíre will be organising the annual Seamus O'Neill Summer School on-line this year in July. You might find the following event interesting. 

Sunday, 19th July, 1.00-2.00pm: Irish Medium Education for Children with Additional Language and Communication Needs,  caint ar-líne le Francesca La Morgia, Ollscoil Uladh agus Stiúrthóir Mother Tongues (an on-line talk with Francesca La Morgia, University of Ulster and Director of Mother Tongues.)

Tá Francesca ag teagasc faoi láthair sa Roinn Teangeolaíochta in Ollscoil Uladh agus ag an Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education in Ollscoil na hEireann, Maigh Nuad. Is í an bun-stiúrthóir í Francesa de Mother Tongues, eagraíocht sheachbhrabúsach a chuireann ilteangachas chun chinn in Éireann.

Sunday, 19th July, 1.00-2.00: Irish Medium Education for Children with Additional Language and Communication Needs, an on-line talk by Dr Francesca La Morgia University of Ulster and Director, Mother Tongues.

Francesca currently teaches in the Linguistics division at Ulster University and The Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education in Maynooth University. She is the founding director of Mother Tongues, a non-profit organisation that promotes multilingualism in Ireland.

This talk, which will be chaired by local school principal, Aingeal Nic an tSábhaisigh, is likely to be of interest to all parents and it will be particularly pertinent if your child has special educational needs and they either attend or may attend Irish language immersion education. There will an opportunity for participants to ask Francesca questions after her talk.
