'Cairde' (meaning 'friends') is a voluntary fundraising association comprising of parents and guardians of pupils at Bunscoil and Naíscoil Bheanna Boirche. Although independent and voluntary, Cairde works in close conjunction with the school to agree fundraising initiatives and expenditure on projects. School pupils are also consulted on project ideas via the School Council. Parents are regularly asked for their ideas and contributions via our school website, the SchoolsNI app, and via our Facebook group 'Cairde BBB' which all school parents and guardians are encouraged to join.

Due to the outstanding efforts of Cairde, a wide range of both resources and equipment, as well as trips and experiences have been funded, such as end of year fun days and bouncy castles and buses for school trips.

Among the fantastic opportunities and resources Cairde have funded are: Santa's Farm visit, pupil counselling courses, purchase of school banners, provision of paint for external walls and fences, Accelerated Reader subscription, Covid-19 class bubble parties funds, selection boxes for all pupils at Christmas, and iPad updates and repairs.

Cairde continue to work hard to fundraise and support the school, but the global pandemic has undoubtedly had a negative impact on the abilities of Cairde to be able to fundraise  as usual. Feel free to click on our 'Donate' button below to help in any way you can.
