Seó na Nollag

8th Dec 2023

A chairde,

Tá súil agam go bhfuil sibh uilig go maith agus ag dúil go mór le Seó na Nollag s’againn i mbliana a bheas ar siúl ar an 18ú Nollaig in Ardscoil Naomh Maolmhaodhóg.

I hope you are all well and are looking forward to our Christmas Show on Monday the 18th of December in St. Malachy’s High School. I’d like to thank our friends at St. Malachy’s HS for their support and their hospitality.

This year, we will have a variety of songs and poems from our pupils in Naíscoil, Rang 1, Rang 2, Rang 3 and Rang 4/5. We will then have Rang 6 and Rang 7 perform their version of ‘A Christmas Carol’. We will finish the evening with Cairde’s Christmas Raffle. Please see the programme for the evening attached. Refreshments will be served before the show, and we will have no interval this year.

After each class’s performance, the pupils will be accompanied to a nearby classroom where they will be supervised until the end of the show. Naíscoil pupils may return to their parents if parents so wish. If parents of Naíscoil pupils do decide to collect their children and return to the hall, please do so during one of the very short breaks between class performances.

I know our pupils throughout the school have been working really hard to learn their lines and songs and poems, and I’m very much looking forward to a wonderful evening celebrating their fantastic talents. I want to thank you all for the support you’ve been giving them at home with their practising.

Buíochas mór also to everyone who has brought in prizes for Cairde’s raffle. Don’t forget to return ticket stubs and money by next Thursday the 14th of December. If anyone would like more tickets, these are available in the school office. I want to thank Cairde for the work they’ve put into organising the raffle and for their invaluable help on the night of the show. As ever, we extend a welcome to any of our older past pupils who may be able to help out with Cairde on the night.

Have a lovely weekend a chairde. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 18th.
